Connecticut Man Allegedly Kills Parents After Mom Confronts Him About Finances

Man Arrested for Double Homicide in Waterbury

A 25-year-old man from Connecticut has been accused of killing his parents after a heated dispute involving accusations over his financial issues. The incident occurred at their Waterbury residence, where police responded to a deadly shooting about 11 p.m. on Monday.

Authorities found Carlene Williams, 51, and Marc Adams, 55, both shot in the back of the head. Surveillance footage captured a confrontation between Javian Adams and his mother earlier that day, during which she criticized him for not contributing financially. She reportedly yelled, “You don’t pay rent, you don’t pay a bill, you don’t even buy food!” to which he responded, “I don’t care no more. F–k what y’all say.”

The footage also shows a man matching Javian’s appearance leaving and later returning to the property before the shootings. Neighbors reported frequent arguments between Javian and his mother, who accused him of stealing money from her bank account.

After the murders, Adams fled in his mother’s car, abandoning it at Ledgewood Memorial Park. He was later seen hurrying through the woods toward Waterbury and broke into a garage early Tuesday morning. A homeowner, Jimmy Everitt, observed him waving from inside the garage, demanding he leave. Adams claimed to be hungry but eventually left the scene.

Police later found Adams at a boat launch near Lake Winnemaug Road, appearing cold, wet, and disoriented—wearing only underwear and socks. He was on probation for previous domestic violence allegations from 2024.

He now faces multiple charges, including murder with special circumstances, felony murder, illegal firearm possession, unauthorized pistol carrying, vehicle theft, and firearm possession charges. Adams is currently held on a $6 million bond.
