Elon Musk Praises Tesla’s New Diner as One of LA’s Coolest Spots
Musk Visits the Upcoming Diner
Elon Musk recently visited a new Tesla-themed diner and supercharger station in Los Angeles, sharing his enthusiasm online. Early Monday, he tweeted that he enjoyed dinner at the retro-futuristic establishment and praised the team for creating a standout LA location.
The Tesla Diner, which has yet to open to the public, is situated on Santa Monica Boulevard. It features futuristic design elements, with plans to include dozens of EV charging stations and outdoor movie screens for visitors. The structure is two stories tall, with an outdoor terrace on the upper level.
Construction began in late 2023, and the project is expected to be completed by the end of summer. Musk’s announcement has sparked excitement and questions among social media users about the opening date and the menu.
Background and Future Plans
The concept for the Tesla Diner has been in development for several years. Musk previously mentioned in 2018 his vision of establishing a classic drive-in with roller skates and music at a Tesla Supercharger location in LA. The upcoming venue will host numerous charging stations, outdoor entertainment, and a nostalgic dining experience.
In addition to its dining features, the location aims to serve as a community hub for EV owners and enthusiasts. With over 7,100 Supercharger stations worldwide as of early 2025, Tesla continues expanding its infrastructure to support electric mobility.
Musk has led Tesla since 2008. The company is preparing to release its second-quarter financial results later this month, with ongoing innovations like this diner project highlighting its diverse approach to brand experience and customer engagement.
