Gold Bar Bob Menendez’s Shocking Last Day Before Prison with Wife—You Won’t Believe What He Did!
Disgraced ex-Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) was seen Monday running errands with his wife, Nadine, just hours before reporting to a federal prison in Pennsylvania to serve an 11-year sentence for corruption and bribery.
The couple was spotted entering a credit union in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, ahead of Menendez’s scheduled imprisonment.
Menendez, 71, will serve time at FCI Schuylkill in Minersville, PA, a facility housing over 1,200 inmates, about 2.5 hours from his New Jersey home.
He was sentenced after being found guilty last July of trading favors for foreign officials in exchange for cash, gold bars, and luxury items.
Nadine, 58, was convicted in April of federal corruption charges linked to the scheme. Agents found 13 gold bars worth $150,000 and nearly $500,000 in cash hidden around their house, earning Menendez the nickname “Gold Bar Bob.”
The evidence revealed Menendez’s favors to Egypt and Qatar in exchange for bribes, facilitated by intermediaries.
Menendez is expected to report to FCI Schuylkill in Minersville, PA, on Tuesday. Nadine’s sentencing is pending, and she could face decades behind bars.
Once a vocal supporter of impeachment proceedings against President Trump, Menendez has reportedly sought a presidential pardon as he prepares for incarceration. Despite maintaining innocence, he resigned from the Senate last August after his conviction.
