Comedian Kathy Griffin was seen on a relaxed walk near her Malibu home, where she proudly displayed her untamed, natural hair and her signature merchandise. She was accompanied by a male friend, dressed casually in a white T-shirt from her 2018 “Laugh Your Head Off World Tour” and black joggers, finishing her look with sneakers.

In photos, Griffin’s usual styled hairstyle was noticeably absent, revealing her forehead in the bright California sun—a departure from her typical coiffed red bangs. Over the years, Griffin has made several bold hair choices, including shaving her head in solidarity with her sister battling cancer in 2017. Since then, she’s often worn wigs she affectionately calls her “magic hair.”

The outing contrasts sharply with a recent YouTube video where Griffin discussed turning down a lucrative hosting offer. In the June 19 clip, she sat comfortably at home, in full glam, explaining her decision to decline a $1.4 million offer to host “The View” because she couldn’t uproot her life. She cited her commitments, including caring for her parents, as reasons for the refusal, despite her close relationship with long-time co-host Barbara Walters.

Reflecting on her career choices, Griffin shared that she was earning around ten million dollars annually at the time and had to prioritize her family over the national television stage. She even approached Walters personally, clarifying her decision:

“I want you to know why I’m going to say no. It’s not that I think I’m too good for this show, it’s the opposite: this show is too good for me,” she told her.

Griffin emphasized her strong ties to her family, explaining, “Between moving costs and my deep involvement with my mom and dad, I just can’t do it.” She concluded by saying she wanted Walters to hear her reasons directly, underscoring her sincerity and family priorities.
