Just six weeks after her unexpected passing on June 17th, 2025, the network will debut the 29th season of Worst Cooks in America: Talented and Terrible on Monday, July 28th at 9:00 p.m. ET. This season marks her final on-screen appearance, offering viewers a heartfelt farewell to a passionate mentor whose energy left a lasting impact.

The new season features Burrell alongside Italian-born chef Gabe Bertacchini, known for hosting Chow House. Though Bertacchini is new to the franchise, he recalls how Anne approached their collaboration with her signature enthusiasm, transforming first-day nerves into fun and setting the tone for an unforgettable season.

Since its debut in 2010, Anne Burrell was the soul of Worst Cooks in America, guiding over 400 struggling cooks to become confident home chefs. For her, the show was more than work; it was her true passion. Her dedication extended beyond filming, often inviting her recruits to dinners and offering ongoing mentorship, exemplifying her nurturing spirit.

To honor her legacy, a tribute marathon will air on Wednesday, June 25th featuring fan-favorite episodes, highlights from Boot Camp Diaries, and memorable moments from Guy’s Grocery Games. Food Network’s Content Chief, Betsy Ayala, described it as a celebration of Anne’s vibrant personality and culinary talent.

Filmed just months before her passing, the upcoming episodes serve as a poignant farewell. Bertacchini reflects, “I’m going to watch it, and many memories will come flooding back.” Through her teaching, Anne’s rare ability to connect and inspire shines through, urging everyone to cook like a rock star and proving her greatest recipe was blending skill, empathy, and exuberance, inspiring countless cooks to improve long after the cameras stop rolling.
