Eze Update & Crystal Palace Targets Before Chelsea Clash Amid Tottenham Race
Major Eberechi Eze Update Ahead of Chelsea Match as Tottenham Targets Rise
Eberechi Eze is set to feature for Crystal Palace against Chelsea today, after discussions about excluding him from the line-up. With no agreement reached with Tottenham Hotspur, Eze is prepared to start the match.
Crystal Palace is actively exploring replacements, with midfielders Christos Tzolis from Bruges and El Bilal Khannouss from Leicester City among their options.
Tottenham is expected to offer approximately £55 million plus bonuses for Eze, following the expiration of his previous clause worth £60 million plus £8 million last week. Eze has become one of the most sought-after players in this summer’s transfer window, thanks to his impressive performances for the Eagles over recent seasons.
While Arsenal was initially linked with interest, Tottenham now appears to be the leading contender to acquire Eze.

Eze played a key role in Palace’s FA Cup victory last season, scoring the winning goal at Wembley and finishing the campaign with 14 goals and 11 assists across all competitions. Since his transfer from QPR in 2020, he has made 167 appearances and scored 39 goals for the club.
The club is also facing potential transfer losses, with captain Marc Guehi linked to Liverpool and striker Jean-Philippe Mateta being monitored by several clubs.
