Teen Seriously Injured in Targeted Shooting During Long Island House Party

A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot multiple times during a targeted attack at a house party on a Long Island street. The incident occurred shortly after 11:15 p.m. on 11th Street in West Babylon.

Neighbors reported witnessing the chaos as emergency responders arrived to the scene, which was marked by police cars and an ambulance. The young victim was transported to a nearby hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and is believed to have been intentionally targeted.

Local residents expressed shock over the violence. Angela Knice recounted watching one of the victim’s friends attempt to revive him, describing the scene as distressing: “He was pale. I didn’t know where he had gotten struck, and I wondered if he was going to make it.” She added that initially she thought the gunshots were fireworks, highlighting how sudden and intense the event was.

Authorities are investigating the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting. The property where the party took place has been problematic for some time; neighbors mentioned an eviction notice issued to multiple families residing there in June.
