Pierce Brosnan’s Secret to Ageless Hair and Looking Amazing

Pierce Brosnan Shares Hair Secret and Talks About “The Thursday Murder Club”

Actor Pierce Brosnan has offered his thoughts on why Irish men often boast thick, enviable hair. When asked at the premiere of The Thursday Murder Club about his theory, Brosnan attributed it to “the old Celtic hair,” noting that his father, Tom, also had good hair.

He humorously speculated that factors like potatoes, butter, or Guinness beer might be responsible for the lack of baldness among older Irish men. Brosnan mentioned that he’s been told he’s aging well and joked, “I’m doing my best!”

The former James Bond star, 72, is set to appear in a charming murder mystery on Netflix, alongside Ben Kingsley and Helen Mirren. In the film, he plays a slightly rough-around-the-edges former union activist, who helps solve a cold-case murder. The movie is based on a book by Richard Osman.

Brosnan also reflected on having played unpolished characters before. He said, “I’ve done rough-around-the-edges before,” and remarked that his past roles as a sophisticated man sometimes led him into creative corners, cautioning that over-polishing can limit role choices.

Notably, Brosnan appreciates the versatility of his career, joking that playing varied characters, including those with a grittier edge, has been financially rewarding. He expressed excitement about his role in The Thursday Murder Club and other recent projects, including a role as a crime boss in Mobland.

He acknowledged the positive reception of his recent work, saying, “You can feel the wave, and you celebrate it and give thanks—it doesn’t happen that often!” Brosnan attended the premiere with his son Dylan, adding a personal touch to the event.
