Sentencing Hearing for Bryan Kohberger

The sentencing of Bryan Kohberger, who pleaded guilty to the murders of four University of Idaho students, is currently underway. The court hearing is being streamed live, and victims’ families are present to deliver impact statements.

Kohberger is scheduled to receive four consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole, one for each first-degree murder count he admitted to. His plea deal was controversial, as he agreed to plead guilty in exchange for prosecutors dropping the death penalty consideration.
