Riley Green Surprises Fans with ’90s Country Cover of Tim McGraw’s “The Cowboy In Me”

Riley Green Releases Acoustic ‘Midtown Sessions’ EP Featuring a Tim McGraw Cover

Riley Green surprised fans with a new acoustic EP titled Midtown Sessions, showcasing stripped-down renditions of five songs. Green explains, “I have always loved the acoustic versions of songs, so I recorded a few just the way I originally wrote them.”

The EP includes Green’s self-written tracks “Worst Way” and “Jesus Saves,” along with the popular “Change My Mind” and a brand-new song titled “Bartender In Destin.” Notably, Green covers Tim McGraw’s classic “The Cowboy In Me,” continuing his appreciation for ‘90s country influences. This isn’t Green’s first reinterpretation of McGraw’s work; he previously recorded “Damn Country Music” for his 2023 album Ain’t My Last Rodeo.
