Woman Fights Off Kidnapper During Attempted Abduction
A woman in Florida managed to escape an attempted kidnapping outside a retail store in St. Augustine, with the dramatic scene captured on surveillance cameras. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on June 29, when Theodore Michael Tundidor, 31, is seen forcibly pulling the woman toward his pickup truck while she screams for help.
The footage shows Tundidor choking the woman and trying to drag her into his Toyota Tacoma. Despite his efforts, the woman fought back fiercely, pushing him off and breaking free. A bystander witnessed the attack, intervened to assist her, and called 911, causing the suspect to flee the scene in his truck.
Authorities later located and followed the vehicle, which was driving erratically on Route A1A. A high-speed chase ensued, and Tundidor was apprehended by deputies. He faces multiple charges, including kidnapping, robbery, and grand theft auto.
The victim, who has not been identified, yelled and fought hard to free herself, attracting the attention of a bystander who then called emergency services.
