Justin Trudeau’s Ex-Wife Shares Cryptic Quote During Katy Perry Boat Outing
Sophie Grégoire Trudeau Shares Reflection on Letting Go of Love
Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, the former wife of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, posted a contemplative message about the nature of love and impermanence following recent appearances of Justin Trudeau with singer Katy Perry.
In an Instagram video, she reflected on the fleeting nature of moments once felt boundless, emphasizing that despite the instinct to cling to loved ones, love is fundamentally about presence, not possession. She expressed that releasing love that is not meant to last creates room for genuine connection, memories, and learning, even amidst grief, which she described as a grace that accompanies loss.
She also noted that grief resides in the process of letting go but can lead to personal growth. Her recent loss of her father has taught her that grief can be embraced with grace. Sophie concluded that love’s deepest lesson might be to remain open-hearted in the face of life’s transience, trusting that memories and love persist within us, unaffected by physical separation.
Earlier this year, she and Justin Trudeau announced their separation after 18 years of marriage, expressing their intention to stay a close family with their three children: Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien.
Justin Trudeau has since moved on with Katy Perry, whom he was first linked to in July after dinner dates in Montreal. Perry, who recently ended her engagement with Orlando Bloom, has been seen with Trudeau on a yacht and during romantic getaways, despite her busy touring schedule.
