Diane Keaton Passes Away at 79

Legendary actress Diane Keaton attended a birthday celebration for her former co-star, Jack Nicholson, in what is believed to be one of her final public appearances before her passing at age 79. Nicholson, who turned 88 in April, was reportedly present at the gathering, which Keaton attended happily, according to eyewitnesses.

Close friend Ed Begley Jr. recalled seeing Keaton at Nicholson’s birthday and expressed his feelings about her loss. “She loved Jack, as I do, and Jack loved her. I don’t want to speak for him, but I believe he is devastated by her passing,” Begley shared.

Begley, who worked with Keaton in the HBO film Running Mates, emotionally reminisced about their friendship: “I played her brother in that project, so I’ve known her for many years.”

Just weeks before her death, Keaton shared a joyful Instagram post celebrating National Pet Day, showing she was in good spirits. However, recent reports indicated her health had declined rapidly in the past few months, though Keaton and her close circle kept her condition private.

Friends who saw her recently noted she had lost a significant amount of weight. Despite her health battles, including skin cancer and bulimia, she remained active in her personal life, even listing her dream home in March.

Following her sudden passing, a representative issued a statement asking for privacy for her family. Authorities responded to her residence early that morning, and she was transported to a hospital. The exact cause of her death has not been disclosed.
