Melissa Rycroft Arrested for DUI
“Bachelor” alum Melissa Rycroft was detained last week on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was taken into custody in the Dallas/Fort Worth area on September 23. Rycroft was booked into the local jail and remained there for eight hours before posting a $1,000 bond and committing to appear in court.
The specific details regarding the circumstances of her arrest have not been disclosed. Representatives for Rycroft and law enforcement authorities have not responded to inquiries.
The 42-year-old former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader gained fame after competing for the final rose on Jason Mesnick’s season of “The Bachelor.” She was engaged to Mesnick at the season finale but was later turned down during the “After the Final Rose” special, when Mesnick chose to pursue runner-up Molly Malaney.
Rycroft married her ex, Tye Strickland, in a Mexican wedding in December 2020, with whom she shares three children. The couple celebrated their 15th anniversary in December 2024, as she shared on Instagram.
