Josh Hartnett Hospitalized After Car Crash with Police
Josh Hartnett Hospitalized Following Car Collision in Canada
Actor Josh Hartnett was hospitalized last week after being involved in a car accident in Canada. He was returning home after filming an upcoming Netflix series when the incident occurred.
The vehicle Hartnett was riding in collided with a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary patrol car at an intersection shortly after 1 a.m. Both vehicles sustained significant damage. Hartnett, aged 47, and the driver, a 59-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital. A police officer involved was also hospitalized as a precautionary measure.
The incident is currently under investigation, and there is no confirmed release date for the Netflix series Hartnett was working on. The actor has since been discharged from the hospital and returned to work.
Hartnett was in Canada filming an untitled series set in Newfoundland, where he plays a fisherman fighting against a mysterious sea creature threatening a small town. The show also features actors Willow Kean, Ruby Stokes, Rohan Campbell, and Kaleb Horn.
Based in the UK with his wife, Tasmin Egerton, and their four children, Hartnett recently opened up about family life. During an appearance on a talk show, he joked about his children giving him a hard time for being American, jokingly calling himself “a foreigner in his own home.”
Hartnett has been appearing more frequently after a hiatus from Hollywood. In 2021, he expressed that taking a break helped his mental health, emphasizing the importance of a good home life alongside his acting career. Recently, he was seen filming in New York for his series “Verity,” alongside Dakota Johnson.
