Child Critically Injured After Being Hit by School Bus in Brooklyn

A young girl, just four years old, is in critical condition after being struck by a school bus while crossing a street in Brooklyn on Monday evening.

The incident occurred on East 2nd Street, between Avenues I and J in Midwood, shortly before 5 p.m., according to authorities. The girl was walking across the street when the yellow school bus collided with her.

She was immediately transported to Maimonides Hospital in critical condition. The scene remained active as the bus involved in the crash was left at the site.
