Trump Reveals New Gold Decor at the White House on Social Media

President Trump Showcases Gold Accents in the Oval Office

In a recent social media post, former President Trump displayed gold decorations intended for the White House’s Oval Office, claiming that world leaders “freak out” upon seeing the luxurious bling.

Trump highlighted that the finishes include high-quality 24-karat gold accents in both the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room. He praised the new look, saying it is the most successful and visually appealing ever.

President Trump has decorated the Oval Office with gold finishes since his return to the White House in January.

He shared a video showing an array of gold wall moldings laid out, ready to be installed around the White House. However, online critics questioned the authenticity, suggesting that the ornate fixtures might be inexpensive reproductions painted to look like gold.

Trump dismissed the idea, asserting that genuine gold could not be replicated with paint. Nonetheless, eagle-eyed internet users pointed out listings from Home Depot for moldings that resemble the gold embellishments seen in the White House, though these items cost only between $30 and $50, far less than real gold.

Gold decorations, including intricate scrolls and floral medallions, were displayed in a video posted on Truth Social, some still wrapped in plastic.

The true extent of the gold accents’ authenticity remains uncertain, as those items were not available on the retailer’s website. Trump may have shared the video to refute claims that the decorations are cheap painted imitations, emphasizing the “highest quality 24 Karat Gold.”

Trump’s affinity for gold is well-known, evident in his luxurious homes, private jets, and the golden gifts he receives from foreign dignitaries. Rumors have long circulated about his opulent bathroom fixtures, including gold toilets.

His preference for gold has extended into his presidential office, with reports indicating he brought in his trusted decorators to design the White House interior to his tastes after his return in 2025, calling it “the Golden Office for the Golden Age.”
