Bad Bunny to headline Super Bowl 2026 Halftime Show

Bad Bunny Announced as the Halftime Performer for Super Bowl LX in 2026

The popular reggaeton artist, Bad Bunny, will headline the halftime show at Super Bowl LX, scheduled for February 8, 2026. The event will occur at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, as he revealed through an Instagram video where he sat atop a football goal post, set to his hit “Callaita.”

Expressing his excitement, Bad Bunny shared in a press statement, “This is for my people, my culture, and our history. What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who paved the way for me to succeed.” He also boldly proclaimed, “We are the halftime show of the Super Bowl,” in Spanish, with fans eager to see his energetic performance.

The artist, fresh off a record-breaking residency in Puerto Rico—the most-watched Amazon Music livestream ever—has previously performed at the Super Bowl stage. He appeared as a guest during Shakira and Jennifer Lopez’s 2020 halftime show in Miami, where he performed his chart-topping “I Like It” and collaborated with Shakira on “Chantaje” and “Callaita.”

Jay-Z, through his company Roc Nation, selected Bad Bunny and praised him, stating, “What Benito has achieved for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring. We are honored to have him on the world’s biggest stage.” NFL’s SVP Jon Barker also highlighted his “global energy and cultural vibrancy,” emphasizing his versatility and connection with fans to deliver a memorable show.

Leading up to this announcement, there was speculation that pop superstar Taylor Swift might perform, especially given her recent activities, such as buying back her masters and her engagement to NFL player Travis Kelce. However, Swift has been discreet due to security concerns following threats on her safety. Other rumored contenders included Adele and rock band Metallica.

The upcoming Super Bowl in the Bay Area will mark the third time the region has hosted the NFL Championship Game, with Levi’s Stadium hosting once before in 2016 when Coldplay was the halftime headliner.
