Jamie Raskin Accuses DOJ of Epstein Cover-Up

Rep. Raskin Accuses DOJ of Full Cover-Up

Congressman Jamie Raskin, a constitutional expert and the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, appeared on CNN’s News Central and outlined what he perceives as a coordinated cover-up by the Department of Justice (DOJ). Raskin linked recent investigations and evidence, emphasizing the importance of uncovering all relevant information.

He highlighted the significance of the Epstein case, noting that Democrats are eager to access the evidence from the files, which have been promised to them by President Trump, Pam Bondi, and Kash Patel. Raskin pointed out that the FBI appears to have obtained videotapes and audiotapes related to a scheme where a government official, supposedly Tom Homan, was involved in selling contracts—a crime he claims the DOJ is dismissing.

During the interview, Raskin explained that the DOJ is actively covering up key cases, paralleling their handling of the Comey investigation. He cited efforts to hide incriminating evidence, including the controversial removal of a U.S. attorney who refused to quash an indictment against Mayor Adams, a Trump ally. Raskin condemned this politicization and called for the release of the Epstein files, which have garnered bipartisan support.
