Lisa Rinna Reveals Daughter Amelia Hamlin’s Health Scare from a Piercing Infection

Lisa Rinna recently recounted a serious health incident involving her daughter, Amelia Hamlin, highlighting the dangers of piercings. During her podcast, Let’s Not Talk about the Husband, she explained that Amelia’s nipple piercing became infected after a distressing mishap at Coachella when she was 19.

According to Rinna, Amelia was pushed into a bush, causing her nipple to jam into the plant. That night, Amelia developed a high fever and swelling of her breast. Rinna rushed her to the hospital around 2 a.m., initially suspecting rib injury, but tests revealed her breast continued to swell dangerously.

Medical professionals diagnosed her with sepsis, a severe response to infection that can lead to organ failure. Rinna explained, “She had to be on IV antibiotics for a week. It was, like, very dangerous.” The infection was so severe that Amelia needed intensive treatment and was hospitalized for several weeks.

The incident also prompted Amelia’s sister, Delilah Hamlin, to remove her nipple piercing, highlighting the potential risks associated with body modifications. Rinna emphasized, “Nobody wanted to die ’cause they had a freaking nipple ring.” She stressed the importance of awareness about the serious health consequences that can arise from piercings gone wrong.
