Former “Rock of Love” Contestant Kelsey Bateman Passes Away at 39

Kelsey Bateman, who competed on the third and final season of the dating reality show “Rock of Love” in 2009, has died unexpectedly at the age of 39. Her family has not disclosed the cause of death.

Originally from Utah, Bateman was just 21 years old when she joined a group of 22 women vying for the attention of rock legend Bret Michaels on his tour bus. She made it to the final nine contestants before being eliminated in the seventh episode.

During her time on the show, she candidly shared that she had gotten too “wasted” with fellow contestants Farrah Sinclair and Ashley Klarich, even admitting to lying on a speed bump crying. Her words reflected her readiness to face Brett Michaels despite her drunken mishaps.

She quipped humorously about her drunken antics, suggesting it’s a common girl behavior, and expressed her intention to take a break from relationships, humorously noting that her next partner likely wouldn’t be a rock star.

Bret Michaels, now 62, acknowledged that his lifestyle on the road didn’t foster the chance for a meaningful relationship. During the show, he told Bateman that he felt she couldn’t handle his rock-and-roll life, a decision that left her emotional.
