Denise Richards Opens Up About Her Difficult Divorce

Denise Richards recently addressed her tumultuous divorce from Aaron Phypers, nearly two months after their marriage ended. On her Instagram, she candidly shared that she had a “s—y” summer, though she pretended everything was fine.

The 54-year-old actress explained that going through a divorce has been especially challenging, describing it as her second marriage dissolution—her first was with Charlie Sheen. She reflected, “I’d never thought I’d get divorced again,” adding, “There are circumstances around my divorce that I can’t share yet, but one day I will.” She emphasized her desire to process the situation and move forward.

Richards also disclosed that she recently underwent reconstructive surgery but chose to keep details private during her separation. She expressed gratitude for her fans’ support, stating their messages had helped her through this period.

In July, Aaron Phypers filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences.” The couple had been married for six years. Richards shared images of their past together and mentioned that there were sensitive circumstances surrounding their split that she was not yet ready to discuss publicly.

Recently, Richards has been trying to retrieve her belongings from their Los Angeles rental, where Phypers currently lives with his family. She has filed to have him ordered to vacate the property, especially before his eviction for unpaid rent.
