Massive Brawl Erupts on Carnival Sunshine Over Food Dispute

A violent altercation broke out aboard the Carnival Sunshine cruise ship just before dawn, involving around two dozen passengers. The incident occurred at approximately 2 a.m. on the last day of the voyage as the ship was approaching Miami. Witnesses captured footage showing passengers fighting fiercely, with one person shouting, “Where is security?!” as they traded punches and pushed each other to the ground.

The chaos was intense, with security guards trying to intervene; one overwhelmed officer was seen fleeing the scene while reaching for his radio amid flying shoes and shoving. The fight appeared to be triggered by a disagreement over chicken tenders, though the exact cause remains unclear.

Video footage also shows a social media content creator, Mike Terra, capturing the mayhem and sharing his reaction. Terra commented, “Over chicken tenders is crazy,” and later described the incident as an “isolated” event that escalated over more than just food.

He added, “We weren’t close enough to understand why it really started; we just knew they were in line for food.” Terra also noted that he had never seen anything like this on a cruise before, despite years of cruising experience.

The cruise departed Miami last Thursday, with stops in the Bahamas before returning home. Carnival has yet to release any official statement regarding the incident.
