Mother Allegedly Dumps Strangled 1-Year-Old’s Body in Funeral Home Hearse

Mother Charged with Murder After Infant Found Strangled in Funeral Home Hearse

A woman is facing murder charges after her 1-year-old daughter was found dead, strangled inside a hearse parked outside a funeral home in Alabama. Authorities allege that the mother, Terica Pearl, abandoned her daughter Blessence’s body inside the vehicle.

The tragic discovery was made when an employee at West Gadsden Funeral Home noticed what appeared to be a doll in the back of the hearse. Upon closer inspection, it was revealed to be Blessence’s body, wrapped with a thick robe string. A funeral home owner, Dantez Robinson, recounted that the body had been strangled with this material.

Robinson expressed his shock and sorrow, saying, “My heart fell to my feet.” He organized a vigil for Blessence, who was just months shy of her second birthday. Friends and family are devastated; a close associate of her grandmother shared that she was utterly heartbroken over the loss.

Authorities quickly identified and arrested Pearl on Sunday, charging her with capital murder. She remains in Etowah County Jail without bond as the investigation continues. The case has struck a chord in the community, with local officials emphasizing the importance of seeking justice for the young girl.

The police are urging anyone with additional information to come forward to aid in the ongoing investigation. The community mourns the loss of Blessence, whose brief life was tragically cut short under disturbing circumstances.
