Ex-Premier League Star Chooses His Dream Club for Summer Return
Former Premier League Player Expresses Clear Intent to Join Inter Milan This Summer
A former Premier League forward has made it known that his primary interest this transfer window is moving to Inter Milan, dismissing other options and emphasizing his commitment to joining the Italian giants.
Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman recently announced he has submitted a transfer request, criticizing the club for “poor treatment” and “broken promises” over his desire to leave. Despite contributions of double-digit goals in each of his three seasons at Atalanta, he has been linked with both Inter Milan and Arsenal, though his focus remains on a move to Inter.
Lookman has already agreed personal terms with Inter, and the club’s manager Cristian Chivu is reportedly prioritizing his acquisition to adjust tactics accordingly. The player has reportedly cleared out his belongings from Atalanta’s training ground and is believed to be on strike to accelerate the transfer process.
In a heartfelt Instagram message, Lookman stated, “Despite previous loyalty and efforts to stay, the club has blocked my move despite a fair offer that aligns with discussions. After months of broken promises and poor treatment, I’ve decided to officially request a transfer.” He confirmed that he has handed in a formal transfer request amid ongoing disputes.
This move comes after Atalanta rejected a €39 million bid from Inter Milan. The club’s CEO, Luca Percassi, indicated that the player can leave but will not be permitted to join a Serie A rival. Legal actions are being considered amid the dispute.
Lookman, who is contracted until 2027, has scored 52 goals in 118 appearances for Atalanta, including 20 goals last season, contributing to the team’s third-place finish and Champions League qualification.
He faces potential fines if he continues to skip training days, but his determination remains firm in pursuing the transfer to Inter.
