Wu declared, “Today is a great day to end the corruption of Greg Abbott. It has gone on for far too long.” He criticized the governor’s actions, accusing him of deceptive practices that have outraged the public. Wu emphasized that Abbott’s frustration stems from being caught in lies and questioned his understanding of legal opinions, referencing Abbott’s past role as attorney general.

Wu dismissed Abbott’s threat as mere bluster, telling CNN’s John Berman, “Come and take it. It’s all just noise—signifying nothing.”
