Brock Davies Addresses Past Affair During Wife Scheana Shay’s Pregnancy
Brock Davies has publicly spoken about a past affair he had while married to Scheana Shay, which occurred during her pregnancy. He described the encounter as purely sexual, with no emotional involvement or dating, and disclosed that he met up with someone multiple times over three weeks.
He revealed that he ended the affair because he felt enormous guilt about his actions. “It was just meet up and have sex,” he explained on Shay’s “Scheananigans” podcast. After realizing the wrongfulness of his behavior, he decided to cease the affair and move on.
The identity of the woman involved has not been disclosed. The affair came to light when Shay included it in her newly released memoir, “My Good Side.” In her book, she described her shock upon learning about her husband’s infidelity during a difficult time while she was pregnant with their daughter, Summer.
In the memoir, Shay also shared that Davies confessed he cheated two years prior, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when she was pregnant with their first child. He admitted he was scared about becoming a father again, which led to his decision to have an affair as a way of coping.
Despite the betrayal, Shay chose to stay with Davies and work through their issues privately, partly to protect their daughter and because she was processing her own feelings about the situation and a recent cheating scandal involving a close friend.
Davies explained that his upbringing was marked by instability, which contributed to his focus on achievement and a tendency to detach from emotions. Through therapy, he is working on understanding his past behavior, taking accountability, and making genuine changes in his life.
He expressed support for Shay sharing their story publicly, acknowledging she has every right to tell her story. Brock admitted he was an “absolute coward” for his past actions and emphasized that what he’s done doesn’t define his future. He now aims to focus more on his family and to be honest about his past mistakes, seeking growth and redemption.
