Coldplay Fan Shares Earnings from Viral Kiss Cam Video Featuring Andy Byron & Kristin Cabot
Viral Kiss Cam Footage Exposes CEO’s Alleged Affair at Coldplay Concert
A woman who filmed a spontaneous moment during a Coldplay concert revealed she made no money from posting the video that went viral. Grace Springer, a dedicated fan, explained she filmed the incident simply to capture memories, not for profit. The clip showed a couple, Kristin Cabot and Andy Byron—both married—being featured on the kiss cam. Their sudden attempt to hide their faces prompted frontman Chris Martin to humorously comment, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
Springer shared that she learned about the couple’s identities after the video gained over 122 million views in less than a week. She expressed regret about the unintended fallout, acknowledging the impact on Byron’s wife and family. Despite this, she stated she doesn’t regret posting the clip, citing the large audience and her initial intention to simply record her experience. “I hope their partners can heal and find happiness again,” she added.
The incident at Gillette Stadium involved Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the company’s HR head, who appear to have been unfaithful. After the video surfaced, Byron launched an investigation and was placed on leave. Following the scandal, Byron resigned from his position, and the company appointed Pete DeJoy as interim CEO. A spokesperson emphasized Astronomer’s commitment to its core values and accountability.
Social media reactions intensified after the footage circulated widely. Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, quickly changed her Facebook name and deactivated her account. Meanwhile, Cabot is believed to be married to Andrew Cabot of Privateer Rum. The evening highlighted the risks of recording private moments at live events and the unforeseen consequences of sharing such content online.
Chris Martin later addressed the incident during his upcoming concert in Wisconsin, warning fans that they might also be filmed and featured on the band’s kiss cam, a gesture acknowledging the viral nature of the incident and its broader implications.
