Myleene Klass Compares Mozart & Liszt to Harry Styles & Taylor Swift
Myleene Klass Draws Parallels Between Mozart and Harry Styles at BST Hyde Park
During a vibrant evening at BST Hyde Park’s Open House, TV personality and classical musician Myleene Klass captivated the audience with her energetic performance and engaging insights. She likened historical and contemporary music stars, describing Mozart as comparable to pop icon Harry Styles and Franz Liszt akin to Taylor Swift, emphasizing the larger-than-life personalities in classical music.
Klass kickstarted the event by celebrating the power of classical music, showcasing an extraordinary lineup including live performances by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra under conductor Ben Palmer. The evening featured a preview of Michael Giacchino’s score for the upcoming Marvel film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The score was introduced live from the ‘Blue Carpet’ by stars such as Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn.
Audience members enjoyed a stunning showcase of musical scores, amid a sunlit park setting. Highlights included a VE Day tribute, a dynamic rendition of Giacchino’s The Incredibles suite, and an iconic theme from Indiana Jones composed by John Williams. Myleene Klass fostered a lively atmosphere, expressing her views on classical music’s modern appeal and breaking down stereotypes. She remarked, “Many see classical music as stuffy with bow ties and strict rules, but that’s not the case.”
She further explained the star power behind the genre: “Mozart is like Harry Styles. Liszt was a major figure with such a fan following he couldn’t keep up with the mail. Classical musicians are the original rock stars!”
The event continues tonight with a headline performance by Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts. Fans can look forward to another memorable evening of live music.
