Travis Decker’s Dashcam Footage Before Alleged Daughters’ Tragedy

Fugitive Dad Linked to Tragic Daughter’s Death Seeks Avoidance of Justice

Just days before he allegedly murdered his three young daughters, Travis Decker was captured on police dash camera acting bizarrely following a car accident. The footage, taken on May 27, shows Decker, 32, leaning against his pickup truck, staring at responding officers with an unsettling demeanor as they completed a report.

In the incident, Decker collided with another vehicle at a red light and implored the driver not to call the police, claiming he was not in his right mind. Witnesses reported that Decker appeared intimidating and disoriented, asking strange questions during the exchange. During their brief handshake, Decker repeatedly asked the motorist if he was “going to be okay,” and the driver described Decker as seemingly not fully sober.

Remarkably, just three days later, Decker was involved in another reckless incident. He allegedly zip-tied plastic bags over the heads of his daughters — Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5 — suffocating them hours after they were due to visit him. Their bodies were discovered on June 2 near Rock Island Campground, tied with zip ties at their wrists and necks.

The three sisters were found bound and with bags over their heads, near their father’s abandoned truck.

The children’s mother, Whitney Decker, expressed her heartbreak, saying, “I truly hope that the legacy of the girls’ lives lives on in everyone’s heart forever.” Authorities are still searching for Travis Decker, unsure of whether he is alive. The sheriff’s office noted that initial searches yielded strong leads, but recent efforts have been less promising. The US Marshals have suspended their Idaho search after a false sighting during the Fourth of July weekend.
