Pop superstar Justin Bieber has resolved a significant financial dispute involving his former manager, Scooter Braun, resulting in Bieber owing tens of millions of dollars.

On July 10, Bieber and Braun reached a settlement, according to reports. Bieber is now required to pay a substantial sum to Braun’s company, Hybe. The financial strain stems from the aftermath of Bieber canceling his 2022 Justice tour, which had a considerable impact on his finances.

It was revealed that Bieber had borrowed money to cover debts incurred following the tour’s cancellation. Specifically, after receiving a $40 million advance from the tour organizer, AEG, Bieber was asked to return $26 million when the shows were canceled. This amount was paid by Braun through Hybe on Bieber’s behalf.

Under the terms of the new agreement, Bieber will pay back the $26 million and split the remaining $11 million in commissions Braun claims Bieber owes over the years. Additionally, Bieber is responsible for paying half of this amount, totaling around $5.5 million.

Sources indicate that Bieber’s recent financial hardships, including the need to sell his music rights to stay afloat, contributed to tensions with Braun, his longtime manager for 15 years. Last month, Braun acknowledged the strain but expressed respect for Bieber’s independence and vowed to continue supporting him despite the change in their relationship.
