Denise Richards Alleges Husband Aaron Phypers Tried to K:i:ll Her During Violent Outbursts
Actress Denise Richards Secures Restraining Order Amid Allegations of Domestic Abuse
Denise Richards has obtained a restraining order against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, after accusing him of abusive behavior. In legal documents filed recently, Richards describes numerous violent incidents, including threats to her life and physical assaults.
Richards reports that during their relationship, Phypers frequently engaged in violent acts such as choking her, grabbing her head and squeezing her arms aggressively, slapping her face and head, and slamming her head into bathroom fixtures. She shared images of her bruised face, including a black eye, which she claims resulted from an attack in 2022 at his Malibu workplace. During that incident, he allegedly called her a derogatory term and struck her in the eye while consumed by paranoia that she was listening to him through plants.
The actress also recounts another violent episode where Phypers, upset over her not inviting him on a work trip, allegedly grabbed her by the hair, slammed her onto the ground, and yelled at her. She presented photos of her injuries to support her claims. As a result of her requests for protection, Phypers has been ordered to remain at least 100 yards away from Richards and her property.

She further alleges that during another confrontation, Phypers, in a fit of rage, physically assaulted her after she questioned him about not joining her on a trip. She shared images of her injuries from that event too.

Following these incidents, Phypers was ordered to stay away from Richards and her belongings. Their next hearing is scheduled for August 8.
This development comes shortly after Phypers filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, and requesting spousal support. The couple, married since September 2018, has reportedly been experiencing ongoing conflicts, with reports describing their relationship as toxic and filled with constant fighting. Recently, Phypers was seen without his wedding ring, signaling potential further separation.
