Man City Eyes Summer Sale: England International Among 6 Players Up for Transfer
Manchester City Targets Six Players for Summer Transfer Changes, Including England International
Manchester City is considering parting ways with several players this summer, with defender John Stones among those potentially available for transfer. The club has reportedly added Stones to a list of six players who might leave either on loan or through permanent deals.
The other players linked with exits include midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, Nico O’Reilly, Mateo Kovacic, Claudio Echeverri, and Oscar Bobb. Notably, Bobb’s departure seems unlikely as he remained injured throughout last season.
Stones, who has been with City for nine years, has made 277 appearances and scored 19 goals for the club. His recent campaign was limited by injuries, restricting him to just 11 Premier League games due to foot and hamstring issues.
In January, City signed defender Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens, providing additional competition for Stones in the squad.
Gundogan, a longstanding City player, has expressed a desire to stay but is also attracting interest from other clubs, notably Turkish giants Galatasaray, who are keen on signing him. During the Club World Cup, Gundogan stated he is happy at Manchester and believes he still has several years at the top level if he maintains his fitness.
It’s expected that if these transfers go ahead, they will significantly reshape City’s squad ahead of the new season, with Guardiola potentially reshuffling his options to meet strategic goals.
John Stones is among the players linked with an exit from Manchester City.
Ilkay Gundogan has expressed willingness to remain at Manchester City but is being linked with a move abroad.
