Victim Turns the Tables During Bronx Assault, Shooting Attackers
A disturbing video shows a victim of a violent attack in the Bronx fighting back in dramatic fashion. After being beaten and kicked by two assailants, the victim managed to recover and fire a gun, seriously wounding one of his attackers.
The incident occurred just before 1 p.m. on Commonwealth Avenue near Westchester Avenue in Soundview. The footage captures two young men cornering and assaulting the victim against a wall. One of the attackers is seen kicking the victim in the face while recording the assault on his cellphone.
In a surprising turn of events, the victim, despite being beaten, recovers quickly and rises to his feet. During this moment, one attacker, dressed in black and orange, is seen holding the victim from behind. The victim then pulls out a firearm and shoots the attacker in the torso, leaving him sprawled on the sidewalk in critical condition.
The shooter, dressed in black pants and a black sweater layered over a white shirt, calmly walks past the wounded attacker and appears to glance back at him. The injured man was taken to Jacobi Medical Center and remains in critical condition.
The other attacker, wearing red sweatpants and a white T-shirt, flees the scene as the victim fires additional rounds into the air. The incident remains under investigation, with no arrests made so far.
