Six Hurt in NYC Traffic Crash

Fatal Queens Crash Leaves Six Injured

Six individuals were hurt, including two in critical condition, following a severe multi-vehicle collision on the Belt Parkway in Queens. The incident occurred early Saturday morning when a white BMW lost control, resulting in a fiery crash that impacted three cars.

The 24-year-old driver of the BMW was traveling eastbound near Cross Bay Boulevard when he struck the median, launching over the barrier, and collided with oncoming vehicles. The BMW then rammed into a Honda CRV and a Hyundai before catching fire. The impact caused the car’s hood to peel back significantly.

Emergency responders arrived swiftly, with images showing victims being treated and rushed to hospitals. The driver of the BMW and a female passenger were transported in critical condition to Brookdale Hospital, although their identities and ages remain unknown. A 34-year-old woman driving the Hyundai was in stable condition, while other occupants, including a 21-year-old woman and two 25-year-old men from the BMW, were hospitalized in stable condition.

Photos depict victims being loaded into ambulances amidst the wreckage, which included significantly damaged vehicles. Police indicated that speed might have been a factor, though the exact cause remains under investigation by the Collision Investigation Squad.
