Liverpool Reschedules Pre-Season Training After Tragic Loss of Diogo Jota

Liverpool has announced a new date for the start of its pre-season training sessions following the heartbreaking death of Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, in a car accident early Thursday morning.

The team was initially scheduled to resume training last Friday, with additional players expected on Monday. However, the plans were delayed as the club entered a period of mourning. The club has now set Tuesday, July 8, as the new date for players and staff to report to the AXA Training Centre to begin preparations for the 2025-26 season.

The club is currently considering whether to go ahead with their upcoming friendly match against Preston North End, scheduled for Sunday, July 13. Conversations are expected to take place once players are back in training, with a final decision to be made after consulting with the squad.
