Jessica Simpson Reveals 100-Pound Weight Loss in Red Bikini
Jessica Simpson Shares Revealing Bikini Photos Amid Divorce
Jessica Simpson has posted a series of bold photos showing her in a bright red bikini, seemingly celebrating her newfound confidence following her weight loss journey.
The singer shared these images on her social media during the Fourth of July, pairing the bikini with a casual green button-down shirt and white sunglasses. In one of the photos, a navy “USA” hat rests nearby. Simpson, who previously lost nearly 100 pounds, received praise for her toned physique.
She chose Tom Petty’s song “American Girl” as the soundtrack for her slideshow, emphasizing her patriotic spirit. The photos come after Simpson candidly discussed her body image struggles, starting at age 17 when she was advised to lose 15 pounds by music executive Tommy Mottola. Over the years, her weight fluctuated, with her revealing in her 2020 memoir, Open Book, that she had resorted to diet pills to reach a low of 103 pounds at one point.
Sources indicate that Simpson’s recent weight loss—achieved through a healthier diet—has reignited her youthful energy and confidence, making her feel as if she’s 21 again. This newfound self-assurance reportedly played a role in her decision to end her marriage to former NFL player Eric Johnson, after over a decade together. The pair, who share three children, separated earlier this year, focusing on their family despite their split.
In a statement, Simpson explained that she and Johnson have been living separately and focusing on their children: Maxwell, 13; Ace, 12; and Birdie, 6. She emphasized that their priority remains their kids’ well-being and expressed gratitude for the support they’ve received during this difficult transition.
