Inside Jay Leno’s Impressive Motorcycle Collection

Located in an unassuming industrial area near a small airport on the outskirts of Burbank, California, Jay Leno’s private collection stands out as one of the most remarkable in the United States. What might be called a “garage” is more accurately described as an empire, spanning multiple buildings and housing a diverse array of vehicles and memorabilia.

The collection boasts over 180 cars and 80 motorcycles, all carefully maintained and operational, supported by a full-time team and workshop. While the cars include a variety of Bugattis, American muscle cars, and unique imports like a V12 Bentley-powered Spitfire, motorcycle enthusiasts will find an equally impressive array of two-wheeled machines.

Among the highlights are ten classic Vincents, including two rare Black Prince models, along with pristine examples like a Ducati MHR900, Norton JPS, Triumph T120R racer, and Guzzi V7 Sport. The collection also features more unusual bikes such as Suzuki RE5 rotary, Hercules rotaries, a Ducati 750 Paso, and a Munch Mammut. Day-to-day riders include sporty Aprilia RSV4s, a BMW K1600GTL, a S1000RR, and a Hayabusa, all ready to go and connected to trickle chargers.

A standout feature is Leno’s collection of Brough Superiors—26 in total—claimed to be the largest in the world, each displayed in a dedicated room. Leno’s favorite, a daily driver, is one of these, fitted with modern Michelin tires. Describing his love for Broughs, he mentions the advancements in braking, tires, and handling, emphasizing that modern bikes have evolved significantly in these areas.

To illustrate his passion, Leno performs a quick demonstration on his gas turbine-powered motorcycle and takes off into the night on one of his Brough Superiors.
