Tammy Abraham Agrees to Join Former Man United Manager as Roma Accepts £17m Bid After AC Milan Loan

Tammy Abraham is set to reunite with a former Manchester United manager after Roma accepted a £17 million offer from a Turkish club for the striker. Abraham, who spent his entire career at Chelsea before transferring to Roma in 2021 for £34 million, has been on loan at AC Milan this season, scoring 10 goals in 44 appearances.

The Italian club’s willingness to sell came after Abraham’s loan spell, during which he showcased his goal-scoring ability. Although Zenit St Petersburg showed interest, Abraham was more inclined towards an offer from Besiktas, which Roma has now approved.

If the transfer goes through, Abraham will work under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the former Manchester United boss, who took charge of Besiktas in January. Solskjaer, a legend at Manchester United with 126 goals and six Premier League titles, returned to management after a break following his departure from United in 2021.

His coaching career includes successful stints at Molde and Cardiff City before his appointment at Manchester United. Solskjaer has been leading Besiktas, helping the team finish fourth in the league last season.

This move could mark a notable chapter for Abraham, reuniting him with a manager he previously played under and further advancing his career in Turkish football.
