Celebrity chef Anne Burrell was found unconscious and unresponsive in her Brooklyn apartment early Tuesday morning, around 7:50 a.m., and was pronounced dead at the scene. She was 55 years old.
Just days prior to her death, on June 12, Burrell shared her final Instagram post. It featured a selfie with Elizabeth Eaton Rosenthal, known as The Green Lady, an 84-year-old Brooklyn resident.
In her caption, Burrell described running into Rosenthal in her neighborhood, noting, “I’ve been keeping an eye out for her… I may or may not have followed her down the street for a bit. She is just lovely!!!”
