Benjamin Sesko Drops Major Transfer Hint—Mikel Arteta Prepares £70m Arsenal Swoop!

Arsenal’s Prime Target Benjamin Sesko Hints at Interest amid £70 Million Transfer Pursuit

Arsenal have received a subtle indication that their main transfer target, Benjamin Sesko, could be open to a move. The Slovenian striker, valued at around £70 million, has been a long-standing interest for Mikel Arteta’s squad following a prolific season with RB Leipzig, scoring 21 goals across all competitions.

Despite past rejection of offers in January, Arsenal remains optimistic about securing Sesko’s signing. The player has also been linked with other top European clubs and has attracted interest from Saudi Arabian team Al-Hilal, but prefers to continue his career in Europe.

Recent activity on social media may boost Arsenal’s hopes, as Sesko has started following the club on Instagram. While this does not confirm a transfer, it suggests a possible interest from the player or his representatives.

His agent, Elvis Basanovic, emphasized that their approach will be respectful and not forceful, stating, “We will never blackmail or pressure RB Leipzig, even if the player desires a move. Moving from Leipzig will only happen when we find a club, a project, and a coach that are truly special.”

According to reports, Sesko’s wages might be a sticking point, with him requesting pay that exceeds initial expectations. Nonetheless, Arsenal is known for patience in the transfer market and is prepared to wait, even with rivals like Liverpool and Manchester City spending heavily this summer.

As backup options, Arsenal is also eyeing Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres, who scored 53 goals last season. However, there are doubts about his adaptation to the Premier League, and the club is considering a transfer fee of approximately £65 million.
