Man United Ready to Seal Shocking Deal with European Giants for Jadon Sancho! Will He Stay or Go?
Manchester United to Discuss Jadon Sancho’s Future with European Clubs
Manchester United is close to initiating talks with a major European team regarding the transfer of Jadon Sancho. The club aims to part ways with the winger, who has not featured for them in the Premier League since August 2023 following a dispute with then-manager Erik Ten Hag.
United’s decision comes after Chelsea paid a £5 million fee at the end of Sancho’s loan period to avoid the £25 million obligation to purchase him outright. Sancho joined Chelsea on loan in 2024-25 but struggled to find consistency, despite scoring in the Conference League final, which Chelsea won 4-1.
The player, once highly regarded at Borussia Dortmund where he made a name for himself, was signed by United in 2021 for £73 million. However, his time at Old Trafford did not meet expectations due to a lack of regular playing time and issues off the pitch.
Sancho’s contract with United extends until 2026, with an option for an additional year. Despite flashes of brilliance—like a memorable goal against Tottenham—the winger failed to produce consistent end product, registering five goals and ten assists in 42 appearances in all competitions.
Meanwhile, Juventus is reportedly preparing for a video conference with United regarding the transfer. Sancho’s salary of £250,000 per week could be a sticking point, as United contributed part of this salary during his loan at Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho had been hoping to revive his career at Chelsea, where he was well-received within the squad, but his overall impact remained limited. His departure could be finalized soon as United explores options to move on from the out-of-favor winger.
