Terrifying Find: Dead Body Discovered in NYC Home After 911 Call About Foul Odor!

A 58-year-old man, believed to be a stabbing victim, was found dead and decomposing in his Bronx apartment on Monday. A 911 call reporting a foul smell led authorities to discover the body.

Police responded to the residence on Elsmere Place near Daly Avenue in West Farms around 10:30 a.m. After arriving, officers found the man face-down on his bed, covered with a blanket, with what appeared to be a stab wound on his left back, according to law enforcement sources.

Emergency medical services declared the man dead at the scene. The New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name pending family notification, and investigations are ongoing.
