Barbra Streisand reaffirmed her playful revelation about her close friend Warren Beatty, clarifying she couldn’t remember whether they had an intimate encounter. She shared this in her 2023 memoir, “My Name Is Barbra”.

“I know I slept in the same bed as him, but I can’t recall if there was actual intimacy,” she told The New Yorker.

“Some memories I simply block out,” she added.

When confronted about her statement, she maintained, “I truly can’t remember,” adding, “But we remain friends. Every year, he calls on my birthday, and we catch up about our lives and children.”

“I met Warren when I was 15, and he was around 21,” she recalled.

Beatty, 88, was unavailable for comment when approached.

In her memoir, Streisand recounts their first meeting at Connecticut’s Clinton Playhouse when she was 16, and he was 21. She described him as tall, handsome, and already adored by many women.

She also reminisced about a 1977 interview where she joked about her affair with Beatty, saying she was “playing the role of a jaded woman of the world” when asked if they had been romantically linked by Playboy.

Meanwhile, Beatty has been married to actress Annette Bening since 1992, and they have four children.
