Elon Musk Claims $2.5M Payment to Ashley St. Clair Over Alleged Child
Elon Musk Reveals $2.5 Million Child Support Payment Amid Paternity Uncertainty
In a surprising disclosure, Elon Musk announced that he has paid over $2.5 million in child support to influencer Ashley St. Clair, despite doubts about his paternity of her newborn son, Romulus, born in September 2024.
Musk shared on social media that he is unsure whether he is the child’s father but is willing to find out without involving the courts. He stated, “I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but I am open to discovering the truth. Despite the uncertainty, I have given Ashley $2.5M and continue to send her $500,000 annually.”
This revelation comes amid reports that St. Clair sold her Tesla Model S after claiming her child support was cut by 60%, which she said forced her to sell the car to cover childcare costs.
St. Clair responded publicly, accusing Musk of financial manipulation and attempting to silence her. She claimed that Musk refused a paternity test before the birth, then reduced support to punish her for her disobedience, a move she says harms their son. Her legal team has filed motions seeking sole custody and demanding that Musk take a paternity test, accusing him of trying to gag her through court orders while spreading negative messages about her publicly.
Furthermore, St. Clair rejected a $15 million hush money offer, along with $100,000 monthly, to keep details about their son, Romulus, private.
About the Child
The baby, Romulus, was confirmed via paternity test with a 99.9999% probability. Musk has met his son only three times since birth and named him, but questions about his involvement and acknowledgment remain contentious.
The controversy underscores ongoing debates about personal responsibility and transparency, especially for high-profile individuals. Despite the significant support payments, Musk’s reluctance to fully acknowledge the child has fueled discussions on authenticity versus image management.
