Sharon Osbourne Bans Greedy Band from Ozzy’s Bl:a:ck Sabbath Farewell Concert

Sharon Osbourne Reveals Disinviting Greedy Band from Ozzy’s Final Black Sabbath Concert

Sharon Osbourne disclosed that she chose not to include a band she considered overly profit-driven in her husband Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell performance with Black Sabbath. In an interview before the concert, she remarked that the group “wanted to make a profit, and it’s not the right time for that.” She promised to reveal their identity afterward, hinting that the news would surprise fans.

Ozzy Osbourne concluded his iconic journey with Black Sabbath on Saturday at Birmingham’s Villa Park Stadium, the band’s birthplace. The event, which lasted ten hours, featured performances from Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Jack Black, among others, with Jason Momoa hosting. This final show marked Ozzy’s last appearance with the band, following his announcement earlier in the year owing to health issues.

Ozzy expressed a heartfelt sentiment about returning to his roots, stating, “It’s my time to go back to the beginning…time for me to give back to the place where I was born. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham forever.” Despite his legendary career, Ozzy has faced significant health challenges in recent years. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2020, he paused touring after spinal surgery in 2022. Recently, he revealed he has only about ten years left due to complications from his back condition, which left him nearly crippled.

Ozzy also shared candid thoughts about his mortality, recalling a distressing conversation with Sharon about how long he might have to live. He expressed a desire for a painless, swift end if terminal illness strikes, referencing his father’s death from cancer and advocating for options like assisted euthanasia in Switzerland.
