Alix Earle’s Regret: The One Cosmetic Procedure She Wishes She Didn’t Do
Influencer Shares Regret Over Cosmetic Dental Procedures
Alix Earle recently opened up about her experience with veneers, revealing she wishes she had never undergone the procedure. In an emotional TikTok video, she admitted she got veneers immediately after graduating from college, despite having good teeth naturally.
She explained her hesitation to discuss the decision publicly, fearing it might influence others negatively. Earle shared that she initially sought veneers on only two teeth but ended up with ten after a quick decision influenced by her dentist’s advice, which she now regrets.
The TikToker recounted a recent mishap where she chipped her front veneer while chatting with Kate Hudson at a party. She also mentioned using Invisalign as a child to correct misalignment caused by a bike accident. Although she loved her teeth, her retainer was not worn consistently, leading to slight shifting of her teeth.
To address unevenness, she opted for composite bonding on her lateral incisors, which was short-lived as the bonding kept cracking during sleep. Deciding to enhance her smile further, she got veneers on her lateral incisors, but her dentist recommended full sets on all front teeth and four on the bottom for a seamless look.
Reflecting on her choices, she admitted she acted impulsively without fully considering the long-term effects. She expressed that it was an emotional topic, feeling tears come to her eyes as she discussed her regret.
Earle emphasized her belief that natural teeth possess character and beauty, urging others to embrace their authentic smiles. She concluded by showing her chipped front tooth, stating she actually liked it and thought it was fun.
Known for her candidness, she has previously discussed other beauty procedures, including a breast augmentation, highlighting her openness about her personal choices.
