Todd Chrisley’s Prison Goal: Making Employees Miserable
Todd Chrisley’s Prison Experience and Reflections
During a recent podcast appearance, Todd Chrisley opened up about his time in federal prison, revealing that his main goal was to make the staff’s lives difficult.
He described his environment as filled with “miserable human beings” during his incarceration at the Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida, from January to May 2023. Todd stated, “My sole intent was to make their lives miserable because they were there to make ours miserable.”
He further explained his mindset by saying, “Every day, I got up and focused on worsening their experience, seeing as they aimed to make ours unpleasant.” His wife, Julie, echoed his sentiments, calling correctional officers “miserable human beings,” and Savannah Chrisley added that Julie’s treatment in prison was “harsher” than Todd’s, particularly at the facility in Kentucky.
The former reality star also described an encounter with a food service worker, whom Julie referred to as “an a–hole,” that made her cry. The couple, who were convicted three years ago of bank fraud, wire fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy, were pardoned by President Trump in May. Todd received a 12-year sentence, and Julie was sentenced to seven years.
In addition to prison stories, Todd recounted an alleged altercation with Rick Singer, implicated in the college admissions scandal, after a heated exchange escalating to threats.
Commenting on women’s experiences in prison, Todd said, “I think that’s the way it is for women in general,” and Julie shared her own distress over being made to cry by a staff member, recalling her treatment as “hard.”
The couple, who resumed their personal lives after serving their sentences, expressed interest in returning to reality TV to share their experiences and life after prison.
