Man Surrenders After Allegedly Following and Attempting to Lure a Minor in Queens

A man accused of stalking and trying to lure a 13-year-old girl into a sexual act during her morning walk in Queens turned himself into police on Friday. Ali Hamed, 25, reportedly followed the girl near 34th Avenue and 97th Street in North Corona early Wednesday morning.

According to authorities, Hamed initially offered the girl $50 for a private act. When she refused, he reportedly increased the offer to $100. The girl managed to escape after briefly being followed by him, police said.

Hamed, from North Corona, was charged with several crimes, including luring a child for a sex act, criminal solicitation, and endangering a minor. This marks his first known arrest. He is currently awaiting arraignment in Queens Criminal Court.
