Actor Jen Affleck Shares Unexpected Labor Experience at a Nail Salon

Jen Affleck, known for her role in “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” described a surprising moment when she went into labor during a manicure appointment. She shared on TikTok that contractions began unexpectedly at the salon, and she initially responded cheerfully when a friend asked how she was feeling.

As her contractions intensified, Jen timed them while calling her husband, Zac Affleck, to inform him of her situation. Despite the chaos, she kept her composure, even showcasing her freshly painted baby pink nail polish amidst the labor. The couple prefers to wait until birth to discover the baby’s sex.

To manage her labor pains, Jen did squats and even had her cervix checked right at the salon floor. She later revealed that a previous incident in Season 1 of her show, where she visited Chippendales, had placed strain on her marriage. The couple experienced a brief separation in late 2024, which was addressed in Season 2, where they worked on their relationship through therapy.

Jen announced her pregnancy on February 11, expressing her excitement about expanding her family. She shared that she and Zac, whom she married in June 2019 after meeting on a Mormon dating app, are expecting their third child. The couple already has two children, Nora, 3, and Lucas, 1.
